Susan M. Exworthy MSW, LCSW, CSAC

Sue attended the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and graduated with a Bachelors degree and Masters degree in Social Work. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor, able to work with individuals in areas of mental health and substance use. Sue has worked in areas of care including crisis, inpatient, and outpatient. She works with clients from ages 12 to 100. As an aging adult, Sue recently completed a graduate specialty in Gerontology and Aging, working with specific issues that impact elders and older adults. Other areas of practice include: addiction; grief and loss; trauma; working through bipolar, depression, anxiety and schizophrenia; couples counseling; and supporting families impacted by substance use. Sue believes that hope is an important part of mental health and substance use recovery, remembering that all parts of our lives impact our ways of coping. Community education and presentations have been an ongoing passion of Sue’s.
Sue and her husband Paul moved to Sturgeon Bay from De Pere in 2017. They enjoy the beauty of the area, community events and the bounty of live music. They enjoy time with their children, two grandchildren and extended family who visit frequently and enjoy exploring Door County. Sue and Paul hope to travel more in future years to experience a variety of live music festivals. Sue enjoys sewing, reading, photography, and gardening. Sue also attends continuing education trainings frequently to grow personally and professionally.
